To test the reachability of our servers, you can use the ping utility. Example of a successfully established ping connection:
patio@patio-lin:~$ ping 10.34.7.2 PING 10.34.7.2 (10.34.7.2) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 10.34.7.2: icmp_seq=1 ttl=62 time=6.73 ms 64 bytes from 10.34.7.2: icmp_seq=2 ttl=62 time=5.08 ms 64 bytes from 10.34.7.2: icmp_seq=3 ttl=62 time=5.06 ms --- 10.34.7.2 ping statistics --- 3 packets transmitted, 3 received, 0% packet loss, time 2003ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 5.055/5.620/6.725/0.780 ms
If for some reason the ping utility is not available, you can also use Telnet instead. Example of a successfully established Telnet connection:
telnet stratum.slushpool.com 3333 Trying 22.214.171.124... Connected to stratum.slushpool.com.
